Here’s an overview of the Wathaga Files section you can use in the Help section of the site.

Wathaga Files – Overview

The Files section in Wathaga is your central hub for storing, managing, and working with all the files related to your initiatives. It supports a wide range of file types and offers powerful features for organising, labelling, and creating content snippets for use across the platform.

Key Features

1. Upload and Store Files

  • Add pre-existing files in almost any format (documents, images, videos, audio, etc.).
  • Access your uploaded files at any time.

2. View and Preview

  • Open files directly within Wathaga for quick previews.
  • See file details, such as name, description, size, and labels.

3. Labelling for Organisation

  • Assign labels (e.g., Big Goals, Streams, Activities, Outcomes) to help sort and filter files.
  • Use multiple labels to connect files to relevant parts of your initiative.

4. Create Snippets

  • Image Snippets – Highlight part of an image, save it as a snippet, and label it for reporting use.
  • Text Snippets – Select text from a document or transcription and save it as a snippet.
  • Snippets can be saved and published for use in reports and summaries.

5. Video and Audio Transcription

  • Automatically transcribe videos using Wathaga’s AI transcription tool.
  • Create snippets directly from transcribed content.

6. Integration with Reports

  • All snippets—whether from images, documents, or videos—are available in the Snippets section and can be inserted into reports.

7. Editing and Publishing

  • Edit file names, descriptions, and labels at any time.
  • Save drafts or Save & Publish to make snippets immediately available.

Best Practices

  • Label files immediately after uploading to keep your workspace organised.
  • Use snippets to capture only the most relevant parts of large files for reporting.
  • Take advantage of video and Audio transcription for fast content extraction.
  • Regularly review your file library to remove outdated or duplicate files.
