21/10/2025 Wathaga Update
In our latest release of Wathagaqw, we have lots of good stuff. There are two main feature updates that should prove very useful, and then lots of bug fixes and minor improvements.
Data Tools Update
The Data Tools section of Wathaga is very important and is how most data in the traditional sense, will be brought into the platform. Until now, you had to create a data Tool in every time you wanted to collect data. AND, which was annoying, you had to recreate that Data Tool if you wanted to use it again in another Initiative. With this update, you can now share any Data Tools if you want to. There are two share options:
- Share within My Organisation - you can share Data Tools that you have set up between the different Initiatives you have set up. Or..
- Share with ALL Users - in this case, your Data Tool will be shared with the entire Wathaga Community, and anyone can use it.
You should expect to see some Data Tools being shared by Kowa in the near future and we hope to see the community sharing the Data Tools they create. Join in the fun and share your Data Tools.
Importing Data Update
Whilst it mostly worked, importing data to a Data Set was a little cumbersome and a bit buggy. We've gone through the whole process and made it much more intuitive and easy to do. The data types make more sense and are easier to bring in from your favourite spreadsheet. We have also created an updated Import Help Guide, which you may find useful when importing data.
Right across the whole app, we've made a lot of small improvements, too many to mention! You should find that everything is that little bit intuitive, easier to use and a bit less buggy!
